Maru is the Korean word for summit, or the highest peak of a mountain. Over 63% of Korea is covered in mountains, and thus the traditional lifestyle, including how dak is grown and Hanji is made, is heavily associated with the mountainous terrain of Korea. Maru Hanji has a smooth surface with short and thin dak fiber strands that are just slightly visible. Maru Hanji comes in White and Natural White variations, and are 8.7mil thick. All DURICO Hanji products are acid-free.
